DreQuan Priest: everything we know
Rockstar built Vice City’s music scene around one hustler with bigger plans than Jack of Hearts. Here’s every confirmed detail on DreQuan Priest, straight from Trailer 2 and Rockstar’s own character notes.

DreQuan Priest isn’t a gunman or a gang boss. He’s a hustler chasing a music career, and Rockstar built him to run Vice City’s entertainment side of the story. Here’s what’s actually confirmed about him, separate from fan theories.
The hustle
From the corner to the booth.
DreQuan Priest
DreQuan grew up hustling on the streets of Leonida to get by, but he never saw himself as a gangster. Rockstar’s own framing draws a clear line: he dealt when he had to, but breaking into music was always the real goal.
He works for Boobie Ike, booking talent into Jack of Hearts and building out Only Raw Records. That arrangement won’t last much longer, though — DreQuan just signed Real Dimez, the duo of Bae-Luxe and Roxy, and he’s aiming his ambition squarely at the wider Vice City scene.
A “1998” tattoo across his knuckles, spotted in Trailer 2, likely marks his birth year, putting him around his late twenties when the story kicks off.
Only Raw Records
Signing Real Dimez.
DreQuan’s biggest confirmed move so far is landing Real Dimez, the duo of Bae-Luxe and Roxy, for Only Raw Records. Together, Rockstar says, they’re chasing a first major hit for Boobie’s studio — the exact move that could pull DreQuan out from under Jack of Hearts and into Vice City’s bigger music scene.
Where he fits
Old money, new hustle.
DreQuan sits between two versions of Vice City: Boobie Ike’s old-school strip-club and drug-money world, and the newer, social-media-driven influencer economy that Real Dimez brings with them. That position makes him a natural bridge character between Leonida’s underworld and its entertainment industry.
DreQuan appears in Trailer 2 alongside Jason, the two of them looking at a phone together, which hints at a working relationship between DreQuan and the protagonists.
He roots for the Vice City Manatees, Rockstar’s parody of the Miami Dolphins, and follows basketball’s Vice City Narcos.
His signature line about dancers acting as his A&Rs shows how closely he ties nightlife buzz to what actually becomes a hit.
Rockstar’s official character notes describe him explicitly as a hustler rather than a gangster — a distinction the studio draws on purpose.
Still a mystery
What Rockstar hasn’t shown yet.
DreQuan has more official bio detail than most supporting characters, but his role in Jason and Lucia’s actual story is still mostly unconfirmed. Treat anything beyond this list as fan speculation rather than confirmed fact.
His link to the leads
DreQuan appears near Jason in Trailer 2, but Rockstar hasn’t confirmed what work, if any, connects him to Jason and Lucia’s missions.
Boobie Ike’s reaction
Whether Boobie backs DreQuan’s move into the wider Vice City scene, competes with him, or stays out of it entirely is still unknown.
A fame mechanic?
Fans expect DreQuan’s music missions to tie into some kind of in-game fame or clout system, but Rockstar hasn’t confirmed any such mechanic.
Real Dimez on the radio
No radio stations or track lists have been announced, so whether Real Dimez’s music actually plays in-game is still unconfirmed.
